MRKONJIĆ GRAD, OCTOBER 10 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić stated that 2,214 Serbs were killed during the aggression against the western Krajina municipalities, while 120,000 people, women, and children were expelled from their centuries-old homes.

Minić stressed that today we remember the painful past and the suffering endured by our people in the 13 municipalities of western Krajina.

"They wanted us to disappear, to leave us without our family hearths and without the right to live on our own land. I was there, alongside my people, defending Republika Srpska, and I know well how difficult those days were," Minić posted on X.

Minić emphasized that today in Mrkonjić Grad, standing before the shadows of the fallen, he feels both pain and a responsibility to ensure that their sacrifice is never forgotten.

"It is our duty to preserve peace, protect our people, and safeguard our Republika Srpska," Minić noted.

Mrkonjić Grad is commemorating the 31st anniversary of crimes committed against more than 2,000 Serbs from the western Krajina municipalities by Croatian and Muslim forces.
