BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 5 /SRNA/ - The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Savo Minić, pointed out that Prebilovci is a symbol of suffering, but also a symbol of resurrection, where life conquered death, and faith conquered fear and oblivion.
"August is a difficult month, filled with pain for the Serbian people. Rare are the days, as well as the places, where we do not remember the suffering. One of the places of the greatest suffering is Prebilovci, a holy place of pain and warning," Minić stated on "X".
According to him, 85 years after the terrible crime against innocent people, "it is our duty to preserve the truth and leave to future generations the memory of the martyrs whose only guilt was their name, faith, and origin."
With the evening service at the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Prebilovci, the commemoration of the 85th anniversary of one of the most horrific Ustaša crimes committed against the Serbian people in this village and lower Herzegovina during the Second World War began tonight.
