TESLIĆ, AUGUST 12 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić says he expects much better cooperation between Srpska and the new US ambassador to BiH because the ambassador is being sent by a new US administration that views the situation realistically.
"We are not in America’s favour; rather, America has simply become realistic. However, I do not want to rule out the possibility that we will work toward being in its favour," Minić told the press in Teslić.
He noted that, since US President Donald Trump came to power, US policy toward Republika Srpska has changed, starting with the lifting of sanctions and extending to the establishment of projects that will soon be implemented by US companies.
Minić says he expects that, in line with all these developments, certain major capital projects in Republika Srpska will also be unblocked.
He also said that Republika Srpska had the opportunity in the United States to present the Serb victims, as well as the facts about the wartime events in BiH.
"That is once again simply reality. We are not the ‘bad guys’, nor are we a ‘genocidal people’, nor are we someone who committed wrongdoing. And certainly, we were not the only ones," Minić said.
