MINIĆ: CEC DECISION ILLEGAL, TIME TO TAKE A CLEAR STANCE

BANJALUKA, AUGUST 28 /SRNA/ – Prime Minister - designate for forming the new government Savo Minić stated today that the decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of BiH to call early elections is not legal and that Republika Srpska will not participate in such elections.

Minić emphasized that the CEC decision is a product of everything that has been done so far against the entity, and that it is time for citizens to clearly define their position on the matter.

“Those who want to participate in such elections may do so, but it is the people who will give the final judgment,” Minić said at a press conference in Banja Luka.

He pointed out that, unfortunately, we are still not fully aware of everything that is happening and being prepared, noting that the CEC decision is only part of a well-designed project.

“There is no doubt left here. I cannot shake the impression and not ask why the government, which is supposed to be formed on Tuesday, is not composed of all political parties at this crucial moment, so that we can show unity once and for all,” Minić asked.
