MINIĆ: AS WE REMEMBER OUR SUFFERING, WE ALSO WITNESS RESURRECTION OF OUR PEOPLE

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 4 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić said it is our obligation to preserve what was defended with the lives of our bravest people, stressing that as long as Serbs remember their suffering, they also bear witness to the resurrection of the Serbian people.

"Every time I hear that a Milica, Jelena or Gavrilo has been born in Knin, the spirit of Christianity once again vividly confirms to me the triumph of life," Minić wrote on X.

He pointed out that children are once again learning the Cyrillic script in an elementary school in Knin, adding that what many had tried to erase has been preserved.

"As we remember the suffering, we also bear witness to the resurrection of our people. It is now up to us in Republika Srpska to preserve what we defended with the blood and lives of our bravest people," Minić stressed.

A Day of Mourning is being observed in Republika Srpska to mark the 31st anniversary of the suffering of Serbs during the Croatian military-police Operation Storm, in which more than 1,904 Serbs were killed and more than 220,000 were expelled from the regions of Banija, Lika, Kordun and northern Dalmatia.
