BROD, MARCH 26 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić said today in Sijekovac near Brod that as long as there are brothers in Serbia and a responsible government, crimes against the Serb people will not be allowed to happen again.

"Everything that Republika Srpska can do and will do together with Serbia is not directed against anyone, but we will not allow anyone to interfere in it. As long as we have our brothers in Serbia and a responsible government, such things will not happen to us again," Minić said in Sijekovac, where he visited Milja Zečević, whose husband and three sons were killed before her eyes.

Minić stated that the institutions of Republika Srpska are obliged to commemorate the suffering of the Serb people in Sijekovac and to work to ensure that something like that never happens again.

"You can imagine what a mother went through watching what was done to her sons and husband. Then you realize how immense evil can be and how far it can go," Minić said.

He emphasized that this crime occurred before the war, that Serb civilians were taken out of their homes and then slaughtered, tortured, and killed.

"We live today in a certain environment and must be aware that we need to work to ensure that this never happens again," Minić stressed.

On the other hand, he added, for all those who suffered, a better environment should be created in terms of citizens' living standards, because many Serb soldiers gave their lives for Republika Srpska.
