MASTILOVIĆ: PRESENTATION OF EDUCATIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC POTENTIALS OF REPUBLIKA SRPSKA AT THE GATHERING IN KAZAN

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 28 /SRNA/ - The Minister for Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of Republika Srpska Draga Mastilović stated that the participation of Srpska's representatives at the Fifth Global Youth Summit in Kazan is an opportunity to present the educational and scientific potentials of Republika Srpska.

"Participation in this significant international event also represents an opportunity to establish new contacts and partnerships with institutions and organizations from different parts of the world," said Mastilović, who today, together with the Minister of Family, Youth and Sports, Irena Ignjatović, attended the opening of the Fifth Global Youth Summit on the theme "Education in the Era of Global Changes: Human Capital for Sustainable Development".

Ignjatović stated that such events open up numerous opportunities for cooperation.

"The Global Youth Forum is an exceptional opportunity to learn about the youth work of young people around the world and to connect them with our youth organizations. Events like this also open up numerous opportunities for joint projects that can be extremely useful for young people in Republika Srpska and provide them with many possibilities regarding youth organizing, as well as education and academic advancement," highlighted Ignjatović.

At this year's Summit, current challenges and trends in education and youth policy will be discussed, with a special emphasis on international exchange and the academic mobility of young people, the role of digital media in education, as well as new forms of international cooperation.

The Summit has so far gathered more than 800 participants from about 80 countries, including ministers, diplomats, leaders of youth organizations, representatives of international organizations, as well as experts in the fields of education, science, culture, and media.

The organizers of the Summit are the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Kazan Federal University, and the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum.
