ZVORNIK, NOVEMBER 6 /SRNA/ - Two Serb soldiers were taken alive from Glođansk Brdo to Kamenica and were told that they would be killed on Mitrovdan, the day of their patron saint day, which was done; the Muslim neighbours knew which is their family patron saint day, said the head of the Zvornik City Organisation of Captured, Killed Soldiers and Missing Civilians Milivoje Marković.

Marković said that the captured Serbs were kept in prison for two days with the promise that they would be killed on November 8, and added that that was the case.

"The Muslim neighbours knew which is their family’s patron saint day, killing them on the day, which increases the horror of the crime," Marković pointed out.

Pointing out that the City Organisation is interested in the Glođansko Brdo case, to bring the perpetrators of the crime to court and that it has sent a letter to the BiH Prosecutor's Office, Marković said that the chief prosecutor for war crimes replied that the acting prosecutor for that case "for justified reasons withdrew from that case and that another one was appointed".

"It seems that the Sarajevo judiciary is making fun of the Serb victims because the new prosecutor needs time to familiarize himself with the case, which means that he is deliberately delaying until the biological disappearance of the perpetrator of the crime," said Marković.

He emphasized that a sufficient amount of evidence was forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office for this crime with the names and surnames of those linked to the Glođansko Brdo crime.

Marković stated that they are still looking for eight soldiers and one civilian who went missing on Glođanski Brdo.

He pointed to the painful fact that the families of those killed and went missing on Glođanski Brdo, who have not yet been found, bear that pain because no one has yet been held accountable for this crime.

A memorial service was held for the killed, and wreaths and flowers were placed at the memorial by the families of the fallen soldiers, representatives of the Republika Srpska War Veterans Organisation, the Ministry of Labour, Wat Veterans and Disabled Persons Protection, the Republican Organisation of Families of Captured, Killed Soldiers and Missing Civilians.

Also, wreaths and flowers were laid by members of the Third Infantry /Republika Srpska/ Regiment, the city of Zvornik and the municipalities of Milići, Šekovići, Vlasenica and Srebrenica, the Zvornik Police Administration, and organizations stemming from the Defensive-Patriotic War.
