MACUT: UNITY OF SERB PEOPLE ALWAYS PRESENT

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 14 /SRNA/ – Serbia’s Prime Minister Đuro Macut has said today in Banja Luka that the unity of the Serb people is always present and that Serbia and Republika Srpska cooperate intensively in all fields.

"We have gathered today in Banja Luka to celebrate the Day of the Unity of Serbs, Freedom and the National Flag. It is a major holiday of the Serb people, which we celebrate over our fraternal ties and our connection in every other respect. A river divides this area, but the people share one soul," Macut said at a press conference following a meeting with Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić.

He reiterated that Serbia respects the Dayton Peace Agreement.

"We would like to cooperate with everyone in the region, which is a reflection of the greatness of the Serb being. We discussed plans and the things that connect us in the economy, infrastructure, education, science, and everything related to our ties," Macut added.

He said that the next joint session of the governments of Serbia and Republika Srpska would provide an opportunity to discuss additional forms of cooperation in greater detail.
