MACUT: CONNECTING SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITIES IS IMPORTANT

BANJA LUKA, October 9 /SRNA/ - Serbian Prime Minister in a technical mandate Đuro Macut said today in Banja Luka that the event "A Bridge of Knowledge - Science and Knowledge in the Service of Unity and the Future of the Serb People" was an important initiative for connecting the scientific, cultural and educational communities of Serbia and Republika Srpska, including the diaspora.

"This is an excellent way to demonstrate our connectedness, and especially to bring our diaspora closer together," Macut told reporters in Banja Luka.

Macut stressed that the event was particularly important because scientists living and working outside Serbia and Republika Srpska would be included in joint activities.

He expressed satisfaction at attending the gathering and hope that more events of this kind would be organized to further strengthen links between the scientific communities of Serbia and Republika Srpska.

Macut announced that today's meeting with Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić would review joint projects implemented so far and consider plans for the coming period.
