LOWEST PENSION IN SRPSKA BAM 361.75

BANJA LUKA, JULY 9 /SRNA/ - The lowest pension in Republika Srpska will amount to BAM 361.75, the Government of Republika Srpska decided today.

By adopting the Decision on the extraordinary adjustment of the general point and pensions, the Government adjusted the general point and pensions earned up to July 31, 2026, increasing them by 3.55 percent.

The lowest pension for 15 years of pensionable service or more amounts to BAM 434.15, while the lowest pension for 20 years of pensionable service or more, but less than 30 years, is BAM 506.52.

The decision also stipulates that the lowest pension for 30 years of pensionable service or more, but less than 40 years, amounts to BAM 578.94, while the lowest pension for 40 years of pensionable service or more is BAM 723.70.

The main reason for adopting this decision is to improve the financial position of the most vulnerable category of beneficiaries of pension and disability insurance rights, namely those receiving the lowest pension.

An additional amount of around BAM 1.5 million per month will be required to implement this decision, or around BAM 7.5 million until the end of 2026, the Government's Public Relations Bureau announced.

The total increase in pensions in 2026, based on both regular and extraordinary adjustments, amounts to 10 percent.

The lowest pensions, effective from August 1, 2026, were determined by increasing the lowest pension from July 2026 by the pension adjustment rate of 3.55 percent.
