PALE, OCTOBER 23 /SRNA/ – Dušan Kozić, a member of the Assembly of the Republika Srpska Creators Association, told SRNA that the 35th anniversary of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska stands as proof of the struggle, perseverance, and unity demonstrated through all the hardships endured by the Serb people, noting that both the government and the opposition should work together today to preserve Republika Srpska's the Daton-based position.
He urged both the ruling parties and the opposition to sit down at the negotiating table and discuss the future of Republika Srpska to make it even stronger.
"These 35 years of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska represent a major and significant anniversary. Since I was involved in those decisions from the very beginning, I feel deeply moved and proud," Kozić stressed, adding that the politicians of that time had demonstrated a policy of unity among the Serb people.
He assessed that the world would be shaken by a major economic crisis next year, pointing out that every major economic crisis is accompanied by a major war.
"It will be difficult to avoid a conflict between Europe and Russia. To get through all of this with as few consequences as possible, it is essential that both the government and the opposition sit down and reach an agreement on the distribution of power, both in Sarajevo and in Banja Luka. They must define positions that are not open to debate and unite in defending Republika Srpska's the Dayton-based position," Kozić said.
According to Kozić, the adoption of a new Republika Srpska Constitution is necessary to consolidate what has been achieved so far.
He noted that the current Constitution had been developed in response to the circumstances prevailing at the time, adding that legal experts should improve and strengthen everything that had been built over the past 35 years.
