BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 18 /SRNA/ – The announcement that SDP, NiP, NES, PDA and Naprijed will tomorrow in Banja Luka sign an agreement on a joint appearance in the elections in Republika Srpska is a pure provocation, an escape from Sarajevo and an attempt to create chaos in Banja Luka and Srpska, said Radovan Kovačević, the Serb deputy in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.
Kovačević stated that Elmedin Konaković, Nermin Nikšić and several other partners, with no representatives of the so-called "Our Party," are planning to sign some kind of coalition agreement tomorrow precisely in Banja Luka.
"We consider this an evident provocation. They have no one in Banja Luka who votes for them, they have no support, therefore it is clear that they are fleeing Sarajevo, where they created chaos and where they do not dare to organise any gatherings, so they are trying to create chaos in Banja Luka and Srpska," Kovačević explained to RTRS.
He stressed that this certainly will not succeed and called on all institutions of Republika Srpska to act seriously and responsibly.
"I am sending a message that there is no place for them in Banja Luka and Republika Srpska in this manner. These are not parties from Republika Srpska and they do not have the support of its citizens, nor can they pass the electoral threshold in Republika Srpska," emphasized Kovačević, who is also the spokesperson for SNSD.
He added that the intent to provoke Republika Srpska is obvious.
"They are trying to create a state of disorder and chaos and to move the protests they created in Sarajevo to Banja Luka and Republika Srpska," Kovačević said.
He asked how it would be if parties from Republika Srpska were to sign a platform on Srpska independence in Sarajevo.
"How would they react? They have no place in Banja Luka for those reasons. Let them handle their affairs where citizens elect them," Kovačević concluded.
