BANJALUKA, JANUARY 23 /SRNA/ – The statement by SDA President Bakir Izetbegović expressing hope that the opposition will win in Republika Srpska once again clearly confirms that all those who are enemies of Srpska and seek its disappearance support the opposition in Republika Srpska, SNSD Spokesman Radovan Kovačević said.
Kovačević emphasized that this clearly shows they recognize Milorad Dodik, SNSD, and the ruling coalition as the strongest guardians of Republika Srpska and as those standing in the way of achieving their goal, which is the disappearance of Republika Srpska.
He believes this should be more than enough for all citizens of Republika Srpska to think carefully and understand what is really at stake.
Kovačević said this means that Dodik and SNSD serve as a barrier to all attacks on Republika Srpska, while the opposition, unfortunately, cooperates with everyone who attacks Srpska.
"They cooperate with Michael Murphy, who has fortunately left BiH, with Christian Schmidt, as well as with Bakir Izetbegović, Mustafa Cerić, Elmedin Konaković, and all those from Sarajevo who, at the very least, do not wish anything good for Republika Srpska or, to be honest, want Republika Srpska to cease to exist," Kovačević pointed out.
According to him, the upcoming repeated presidential elections at a number of polling stations in Republika Srpska should also be viewed in this context, noting that Siniša Karan won at all of those polling stations.
"Both Bakir Izetbegović and all other Sarajevo-based parties supported Siniša Karan's opponent in those elections, sending a clear message that Karan is certainly not a good solution for all those who want Republika Srpska to disappear. Those who want Republika Srpska to exist, to be strong and resilient, will vote for Siniša Karan," Kovačević stated for RTRS.
He believes that this is understood by everyone in Republika Srpska.
"That is why it is very important that no one stays at home on that day at those polling stations, but that we turn out and clearly say that for us there is only one option, and that is Republika Srpska," said Kovačević, who also serves a Serb delegate in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.
