PALE, AUGUST 24 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Police Director Siniša Kostrešević has said today that the arrested man from Bijeljina /aged 24/, identified as B.D., who is linked to an attempted murder in Istočno Sarajevo, will be handed over to the competent authorities of Republika Srpska after the Serbia's Ministry of Justice takes the necessary steps for his extradition to BiH.
Kostrešević said that the man, who was arrested in Sremska Mitrovica on the basis of an international arrest warrant, is currently in extradition custody.
He stressed at a press conference in Pale that the Serious and Organised Crime Administration of the Republika Srpska Ministry of Interior and the Istočno Sarajevo Police Administration are continuing investigation to identify the person who ordered the hit.
According to him, following the shooting on August 3, specific measures and activities carried out in cooperation between the Istočno Sarajevo and Bijeljina police administrations led to the identification of a number of individuals who could be linked to the attempted murder, after which B.D. was identified.
B.D. is suspected of attempting to kill Davor Dabić in the area of Istočno Novo Sarajevo on August 3 this year.
