KOŠARAC: ANTI-SERB HYSTERIA IN SARAJEVO BECAME POLITICAL PATTERN OF ACTION

ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, SEPTEMBER 9 /SRNA/ - Anti-Serb hysteria in Sarajevo is not a coincidence - it has become a political pattern of action, SNSD Presidency member Staša Košarac said.

"What we are seeing today on the Sarajevo political scene is the result of indoctrination and an ideology whose roots can be traced back to Alija Izetbegović's `Islamic Declaration` and the constant pursuit of an Islamic BiH.

That is precisely why it is no coincidence that they still advocate a model in which only those Serbs who are loyal to Sarajevo’s political interests are acceptable," Košarac told SRNA.

Noting that the "Islamic Declaration" states, among other things, that non-Muslims can live freely in an Islamic state only if they are loyal, and that there can be no peace and coexistence between the Islamic faith and non-Muslim social and political institutions, Košarac pointed out that it is therefore not difficult to recognize the ideological matrix that continues to shape Sarajevo's politics today.

He said that Sarajevo wants to choose and dismiss presidents on behalf of the Serb people, speak and make decisions in their name, and arrest and persecute them because they think and feel differently.

For them, he stressed, a good Serb is only one who is loyal and obedient.

"Our response is united, clear and unwavering: we are loyal to the Serb people, Republika Srpska and Serbia. We are loyal to the Serbian national interest, our identity and our right to decide our own destiny. Not because we are against anyone, but because we refuse to be what we are not," stressed Košarac, who is also Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers.

The fact that they entered the war as Muslims and emerged from it as Bosniaks, Košarac said, is their own matter and speaks about them.

"We are not converts; we do not change our name, our origins or our history. We are Serbs. We will not renounce our people, our Orthodox faith, our values, our way of life, our ancestors or our historical figures," Košarac said.
