BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 10 /SRNA/ – The Minister of Science, Technological Development and Higher Education of Republika Srpska Siniša Karan and Hungarian Ambassador to BiH Krisztian Posa discussed today in Banja Luka the strengthening of ties between Srpska and Hungary, particularly in the fields of science, technology, and higher education.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that Republika Srpska has always had a good friend and supporter in Hungary, especially in difficult and challenging times when support was most needed, the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Higher Education of Srpska announced.
Karan reminded that in March the Ministry signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary within the “Stipendium Hungaricum” scholarship program for the period between 2025-2028.
The Memorandum of Understanding also confirmed cooperation in the area of diplomatic training between the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Higher Education of Srpska and the Hungarian Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.
Karan added that several faculties from both public universities in Srpska maintain close cooperation with Hungarian universities, mainly through the exchange of students and academic staff.
Posa expressed confidence that the good relations and ties between Srpska and Hungary will be further strengthened through various activities and projects of mutual interest for the scientific, academic, and research communities of both sides.
