KALUŽA: UN SECURITY COUNCIL WILL BE INFORMED ABOUT SCHMIDT’S VIOLATION OF THE DAYTON

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 6 /SRNA/ – International relations expert Lučiano Kaluža told SRNA that the Dayton Peace Agreement has been violated by the actions of the unappointed foreigner Christian Schmidt, what Republika Srpska will send a report to the UN Security Council about, which will be presented by Russia at a session at the end of October.

"It is important that Republika Srpska uses this report to present the actual situation in BiH. It also matters that other countries will be informed through their foreign ministries, since the report will be publicly distributed during the session of the UN's most important body," emphasized Kaluža.

He noted that Republika Srpska fully supports the Dayton Peace Agreement, but that Schmidt's actions have seriously undermined the constitutional order, powers division, and the rights of the constituent peoples guaranteed by the Agreement.

"Republika Srpska spports the Dayton Peace Agreement. Presenting this report is one way to inform the UN Security Council that Schmidt has violated it," said Kaluža.

He says it is about a diplomatic and political innovation, aimed at presenting an objective picture and preventing one-sided actions and reports, which has been the case so far.

"I don't know if there has ever been a case where one country presents a report in a UN Security Council session about the internal situation of another country, in this case, a report from Republika Srpska about the situation in BiH," said Kaluža.

The UN Security Council session on the situation in BiH is scheduled for October 31.
