INTENSIVE PARLIAMENTARY COOPERATION WITH RUSSIA DESPITE INTERNATIONAL PRESSURES

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 3 /SRNA/ – The current convocation of the Republika Srpska National Assembly has established the most intensive parliamentary cooperation with Russia to date, despite numerous international pressures, Republika Srpska National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandić said during a meeting with Russian Ambassador to BiH, Igor Kalabukhov.

Stevandić stated that this model of open and partnership-based cooperation has also been offered to other interested parties, announced the Republika Srpska National Assembly.

He emphasized that the historical, cultural and traditional ties between the Serb and Russian peoples continue to be strengthened.

Kalabukhov thanked Stevandić for the reception and expressed readiness to continue cooperation between Republika Srpska and Russia.

The meeting in Banja Luka focused on the political situation in Republika Srpska and BiH, as well as on the continuation and enhancement of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Republika Srpska and the Russian Federation.
