MOSCOW, MAY 9 /SRNA/ - The Speaker of the Republika Srpska National Assembly Nenad Stevandić said that great respect was shown today in Moscow to Srpska and its struggle, which, as he assessed, it has been conducting for a long time and in which it has begun to prevail.
"This is also a kind of recognition for the way we behave. We did not come to Moscow to fight against any other nation or Europe, but out of respect and a desire to discuss peace, not future war," Stevandić said after the reception and lunch hosted by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He added that it was important that Putin, in his address, condemned attempts at historical revisionism and said that Slavic peoples would continue to stand firmly on the anti-fascist line, which is not a matter of current politics or temporary sentiment.
Stevandić assessed that many things are changing, that a revision of history is underway, that Nazism is being trivialized, and that the sacrifice of those who gave the most to defeat Nazism is being forgotten.
"This must be preserved and marked in such a magnificent way so that the world is reminded how the greatest evil was defeated, to prevent it from happening again," Stevandić said.
Republika Srpska President Siniša Karan and SNSD leader Milorad Dodik are also in the Republika Srpska delegation.
