BANJA LUKA, APRIL 24 /SRNA/ - Dragan Galić, a member of the Security Committee of the Republika Srpska National Assembly, told SRNA that the security situation in Republika Srpska is good and emphasized that members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs /MIA/ have full support in protecting Republika Srpska officials and maintaining peace and stability.
"The MIA of Republika Srpska acted correctly and in accordance with its authority. SIPA has had a thousand opportunities until now to deliver a summons, if that was their intent," Galić said, commenting on last night's event when Republika Srpska police officers removed members of the unconstitutional SIPA from in front of the Administrative Center of Republika Srpska in East Sarajevo, during a meeting between President Dodik, the mayor, and the heads of municipalities that form the city.
He said that SIPA's actions were manipulative and that they attempted to take advantage of the moment when President Milorad Dodik was near the border with the Federation of BiH.
"We fully support the Republika Srpska Ministry of Internal Affairs, the President of the Republic, and the institutions. Everything that preceded this situation, including the decisions of Christian Schmidt, is not in accordance with the law. The President of Republika Srpska had the legitimate right to sign decrees," Galić said.
He says that the matter will be discussed at the next session of the Security Committee, and added that the Republika Srpska National Assembly will also address the issue.
According to information obtained by SRNA, the operation of SIPA officers in East Sarajevo was led by Elvir Ademović, brother of former AID chief Kemal Ademović, as well as Zijad Landžo, who is suspected of committing war crimes against Serbs in Konjic.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska Siniša Karan emphasized that SIPA officers violated the law and that criminal proceedings will be initiated.
The Republika Srpska National Assembly has enacted a series of laws to prevent the operations of unconstitutional and anti-Dayton institutions, including the unconstitutional Court, Prosecutor’s Office, and SIPA.
