FIRE FROM VELJOVA GLAVA SPREADING DOWN TOWARD HOUSES, FIREFIGHTERS ON THE GROUND

ZVORNIK, AUGUST 24 /SRNA/ - The fire that has engulfed the area around the Zvornik settlement of Kamenica is spreading down from the Veljova Glava area toward houses and other buildings, while teams from the city's Professional Fire and Rescue Unit have been on the ground since this morning; however, difficult terrain is hampering firefighting, the Zvornik City Administration said today.

The firefighters' priority is to prevent the fire from spreading toward the populated area and to protect houses and other buildings.

There are currently no buildings at risk from the fire in the Snagovo area.
