BIJELJINA, JUNE 12 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić said he is confident that even better days lie ahead for Republika Srpska because work is being done and projects are being built, adding that investments, currently amounting to BAM 6.6 billion, will reach BAM 7 billion by the end of the year.
"That is exactly what we need. The effects of this, through VAT revenues, the employment of more people, and a much higher standard of living for citizens, will certainly become visible within the next few months. That is what experts have said as well," Minić stressed.
He emphasized that the institutions of Republika Srpska are creating conditions for a better quality of life for citizens, and that the start of construction of the Bijeljina–Brčko highway section is one of the infrastructure projects that will contribute to that goal.
Minić said that the section whose construction was officially launched today in Velika Obarska is part of the Banja Luka–Belgrade highway, which will provide an even better connection with Serbia, Republika Srpska’s largest foreign trade partner and a brotherly country.
He told reporters in Velika Obarska that he was extremely proud to head the Government of Republika Srpska, which is increasing wages and pensions and is attentive to the needs of the most vulnerable categories of society.
"Yesterday, we adopted a decision to allocate BAM 15 million for the most expensive medicines to eliminate waiting lists. That is what the leadership of Republika Srpska is doing, and that is what we want every citizen of Republika Srpska to feel," Minić stressed.
