BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 26 /SRNA/ – The Republika Srpska Development Council has identified priorities for the development of new projects in several areas, including the technological advancement of the economy.

These areas also include the digitalisation of public administration, improvements in the food industry, tourism, sports and culture, as well as a range of proposals for systematic support for young people.

"The Republika Srpska Development Council is expected to announce concrete proposals for systemic measures in several areas shortly," the Government’s Public Relations Bureau announced.

Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić stressed that these activities were the result of work by experts from various fields who had spent months identifying problems and developing concrete proposals to address them.

Minić, who attended a meeting of the Council in Banja Luka today, said he welcomed the work of this body, which is tasked with preparing a set of systemic measures to support the further development of Republika Srpska.

"Months of dedicated work are behind us. More than 400 people from various professional backgrounds participated in 16 roundtable discussions, including agronomists, farmers, businesspeople, athletes and university professors," Minić said.

The statement emphasised that the Council would soon announce concrete proposals for systemic measures in several areas, following extensive consultations conducted over several months and involving more than 400 experts from 14 fields.

The Development Council was established in February by Republika Srpska Government’s decision as an advisory body tasked with proposing and promoting the development priorities of Republika Srpska and advising on how to achieve them.
