DODIK: THE EU BECOMING MILITARY ALLIANCE, WHICH IS DANGEROUS FOR SERB PEOPLE AND SRPSKA

MOSCOW, MAY 28 /SRNA/ – SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik said at the International Security Forum in Moscow that the EU is transforming from a political into a military alliance, which is very dangerous for the Serb people and Srpska, and that it sees the Russian Federation as a geopolitical opponent.

“We support efforts to ease tensions in the world and mechanisms of international communication and coordination,” Dodik emphasized during his address.

Dodik stated that today’s Europe, represented by the EU, is trying within the collective West to develop as an autonomous pole of power, less dependent on the United States and the transatlantic security concept.

He stated that such an EU, headed by Germany, is entering a phase of major remilitarization and political transformation, from which global instability is emerging across Eurasia.

Since Berlin views the Balkans as its traditional sphere of interest, Dodik noted that in the coming period it will be especially difficult for the Serb lands, Republika Srpska and Serbia.

He pointed out that the new Europe that is emerging sees the Russian Federation as a major geopolitical opponent.

“All these radical changes generate long-term behaviour among a multitude of smaller states and powers that are continuously being presented, realigning, moving away from or drawing closer to certain centres of power, which further leads to continuous tensions and conflicts in world politics,” Dodik emphasized.
