DODIK: SRPSKA MUST REMAIN COMMITTED TO ITS RIGHTS, STABILITY AND INTERESTS OF ITS PEOPLE

BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 30 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska must remain committed to its rights, stability and the interests of its people while preserving peace and political dialogue, President Milorad Dodik told participants of the forum "Republika Srpska - Years of Resolution or the Second Half" in Belgrade.

In a message read at the forum, Dodik expressed regret that he could not attend, stressing that after returning from Moscow and meeting with the President of the Russian Federation, he had pressing commitments in Republika Srpska.

He said he was particularly sorry to miss the opportunity to participate in the discussion on this topic because it directly concerns its political position, its rights and its future.

He assessed that 30 Belgrade forums dedicated to Republika Srpska represent significant continuity in efforts to discuss Srpska openly and based on facts, without imposed interpretations.

"That is why it is important that today, at a time of numerous political and security challenges, we discuss where Republika Srpska is heading and what possibilities lie ahead of it," Dodik said in the message read at the forum by Đuro Bilbija, editor-in-chief of the "Sve o Srpskoj" and "Fakti" portals.

He wished all participants a successful event, while congratulating the organizers - the "Fakti" and "Sve o Srpskoj" portals, with the support of the Representative Office of Republika Srpska in Serbia - on the 30th anniversary forum and their perseverance in nurturing this important forum for discussion about Srpska.
