CEREMONIAL OPENING OF SRNA'S REPRESENTATIVE NEW PREMISES AT ITS HEADQUARTERS IN PALE TOMORROW

PALE, SEPTEMBER 30 /SRNA/ - The Republika Srpska Media System - SRNA will officially begin operations tomorrow in new, modern and representative premises in Pale, following a strategic decision by the Government of Republika Srpska to permanently return the national news agency to its original headquarters, where it was founded, at the initiative of President Milorad Dodik.

The ceremonial opening of the new premises, in the presence of invited guests, is scheduled for tomorrow at 15:30 at SRNA's headquarters at 24E Univerzitetska street.

SRNA Acting Director General Tatjana Parađina stressed that this highly significant investment by the Government of Republika Srpska, headed by Prime Minister Savo Minić, represents more than a construction project, as it is a sign of unequivocal support for SRNA and all its employees.

The new environment, Parađina added, will provide significantly better working conditions, which also entails an additional responsibility for SRNA to work even better and more responsibly for the benefit of all those it exists to serve - Republika Srpska, the public and its users.

"Through this decision, the leadership of Republika Srpska has most directly confirmed how much it values the work, reputation and importance of our institution. Providing a top-quality working environment is not merely an aesthetic improvement, but also an incentive for SRNA to achieve even greater creativity, precision and maximum productivity," she said.

By returning to its historic headquarters and equipping the premises according to the latest global standards, Parađina said, the leadership of Republika Srpska has created an environment that the institution deserves and provided its employees with top-quality working conditions.

"After years away, the return home in a modern setting is a direct indication that the leadership of Republika Srpska views SRNA as a fundamental pillar of the media landscape in Srpska, while also taking care of the balanced development of all parts of the Republic," Parađina stressed.

With this move, she added, the Government decided to revitalize the institution, at the initiative of President Dodik, returning it to the municipality where the first news report of the first Serbian media outlet from what was then the Republic of the Serbian People of BiH was broadcast on April 7, 1992.

"Therefore, we express our gratitude to the leadership of Republika Srpska and the members of SRNA's Supervisory Board for their continued understanding and support, as well as for their vision in making this project a priority," Parađina stressed, adding that one of the next goals is to provide more suitable premises for colleagues in Banja Luka and Bijeljina as well.

All SRNA employees, she stressed, will justify through their work and dedication the trust placed in them by the Government and leadership of Republika Srpska, all institutions and citizens of Srpska, as well as our loyal users.
