BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 24 /SRNA/ - President Milorad Dodik said in an interview with SRNA that Republika Srpska maintains ties with significant number of people in the US, as well as possibility for a dialogue at a very high level.
"They encourage us in a way for many thing that we are now doing. We are grateful for the opportunity to have a dialog at a very high level. We are working on that, it is a process, but we succeed on that path," Dodik pointed out.
The President reminded that Republika Srpska supported the current US administration even before the presidential elections took place in the USA.
"We supported and suggested Serbs in America to vote for /Donald/ Trump. I found the information that 96% of Serb population in America voted for Trump. That is good. We took a real risk to support Trump before the elections, to counter the /Joseph/ Biden's administration. I get chills even thinking about what would have happened here if the Biden structure had won," Dodik pointed out.
WE BELIEVE THAT SECURITY COUNCIL WILL LOOK AT EVENTS IN BiH IN A DIFFERENT WAY
Dodik said that Republika Srpska is grateful to the Russian Federation because it presented the reports of Republika Srpska to the UN Security Council in the past period.
"We expect that the new US administration will sufficiently understand the unfavorable situation in BiH, which was created by /former US President/ Biden and his people. We believe that the Security Council will look at everything that is happening here in a different way," said Dodik in an interview with SRNA, answering a question about expectations from the Security Council session that will be held on October 31, under the chairmanship of Russia.
He emphasized that Russia is a strategic partner of Republika Srpska, and that he extremely supports the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin in leading that country.
"We believe that the military operation in Ukraine was justified by Russia because it was protecting a huge number of Russians living on the territory of Ukraine," said Dodik.
He added that the desire of certain European countries and the former Biden's American administration was to control the rare minerals and metals of Russia.
"They know that they can only do that if they bring strong Russia down. They should have brought it down by taking control of Ukraine, and a process of mistrust of what the government is doing would have started to appear in Russia. That is why President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin was very justified and strategically wise in defending those interests that are very relevant for Russia," explained Dodik.
Dodik reminded that Republika Srpska never supported the introduction of sanctions against Russia.
"First of all, it has a strong political message and that's why we didn't allow BiH to do anything to Russia," said Dodik.
He pointed out that Republika Srpska has very developed good relations with Russia and wants to keep it.
EUROPEAN PATH IS AN EMPTY STORY
President Dodik said in an interview with SRNA that the European path to BiH is a catchphrase that means nothing and represents an empty story.
He stated that the EU is in crisis and no longer has consistency.
"Many philosophers, political analysts, strategists say that it is in an irreversible process of disintegration," said Dodik.
He stated that the EU is a big loser in the current situation regarding Ukraine.
"It entered into all these processes very naively, adhering to several principles that it herself invented, which refer to the fact that they have the right to govern other countries," Dodik pointed out.
He added that the EU has threatened its economy because they have gone from being a privileged partner for gas supply from the Russian Federation to a very unfavorable position.
"The consequence is that the EU has lost economic momentum, its competitive position, and today in the global framework it cannot deal with China, the USA, India, and probably not even with Russia in the foreseeable future," said Dodik.
He added that the EU is no longer a guarantee of good standards and safe life.
"Today, we are a safer society than they are," Dodik assessed.
Commenting on the EU's decision to phase out Russian oil and gas imports until 2028, Dodik said the question is whether the EU will exist in 2028 and which group of people will lead it.
"Perhaps some other structure will come and say that this is nonsense. Or the Russians and the Americans will make an agreement without the EU. What can the EU do? Nothing," said Dodik.
