DODIK: PUTIN’S SUPPORT FOR OUR COALITION IN THE ELECTIONS IMPORTANT

MOSCOW, SEPTEMBER 29 /SRNA/ — SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik says that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s support for the ruling coalition in Republika Srpska in the upcoming general elections in BiH is very important.

"What is particularly important is that the president wished us success in the elections and that we win," Dodik told media from Republika Srpska after meeting with Putin in Moscow.

Dodik described the meeting as outstanding.

"An excellent, warm and friendly conversation," Dodik said.

He emphasized that BiH is a country established by agreement between three constituent peoples and two entities, with guarantees from major powers.

"The basis of our policy is that we are asking for what is stipulated in the agreement. If that is not there, then it makes no sense to maintain this arrangement. We are not for any conflict; we are for dialogue. Restore our rights to us, and there will be no problem with the existence of BiH," Dodik said.

He said that Republika Srpska does not agree to BiH becoming part of NATO.
