DODIK: NOT BUILDING IDENTITY ON HATRED, BUT ON LOVE FOR WHO WE ARE

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 14 /SRNA/ – President Milorad Dodik has said this evening that the Serb people do not build their identity on hatred toward someone else, but out of love for who they are.

Dodik said he was proud that Republika Srpska and Serbia are jointly celebrating the Day of Serb Unity, Freedom and the National Flag, and he greeted Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vučić, with whom he laid the foundations for this holiday six years ago.

“We celebrate unity, the covenant of the Serb people, all fighters who have fought for freedom whenever they have had the opportunity to fight for it. The freedom we fight for is noble and historical, which entails a struggle for identity, for the people, the Church and Orthodox faith, the language and the alphabet,” Dodik said at a ceremony in Banja Luka marking the Day of Serb Unity, Freedom and the National Flag.

He noted that unity belongs to the Serb people, who are not taking it away from anyone.
