BiH – politics

BANJA LUKA, DECEMBER 20 /SRNA/ – The fact that the so-called diplomat Michael Murphy continues his obsessive attacks on Republika Srpska and on me personally even after leaving BiH is yet another proof that his term was not diplomatic, but ideological and hostile toward everything with Serb prefix, said SNSD leader Milorad Dodik.
“Murphy was not an ambassador, but a political commissioner and a Muslim leader with only one task to break Republika Srpska, overturn the electoral will and political choice of the Serb people, i.e. to remove me from the political arena.
For all of this, he had his own executors who operated within an anti-Serb chain – Christian Schmidt, judicial institutions, Muslim politicians, and the opposition from Republika Srpska, all of whom eagerly agreed to ‘tie the horse where Aga Murphy told them to,’” Dodik told SRNA when asked to comment on Murphy’s posts on X, in which he once again dealt with Republika Srpska and the SNSD leader.
The SNSD leader said that Murphy’s statements today carry no diplomatic weight, but instead represent an expression of his bitter sense of defeat as he achieved none of what he had planned – he left without results, without an “abolished” Srpska, without abolishing the will of the Serb people, and without broken Republika Srpska institutions, which he had tried for months to discipline through threats, blackmail, and pressure.
That is why Murphy is now, from political retirement, Dodik says, trying to remain relevant by attacking what he never managed to subdue or destroy.
“Murphy openly worked against the Dayton Peace Agreement, supported the impositions by unappointed foreigners falsely presenting themselves as high representatives, remained silent about violations of the BiH Constitution, and applauded every move by official Sarajevo aimed against Republika Srpska,” Dodik stressed.
He pointed out that Murphy’s problem was the very existence of Republika Srpska as a political entity that does not accept a colonial relations, as well as the responsible policy of Milorad Dodik, which represented the majority expression of the Serb people’s will in Republika Srpska and was entirely focused on preserving the original Dayton Peace Agreement, i.e. its letter, not its spirit, as well as the status and interests of Republika Srpska and the Serb people.
“Republika Srpska does not take lessons from former ambassadors who leave behind a divided country and permanently damaged trust. Srpska remains, the policy I represented remains, I remain. They did not break me, while Murphy’s statements end up where they belong – in the archive of failed pressures and misguided policies,” the SNSD leader said.
He emphasized that Murphy has left, but frustrations remain, now in his retirement days.
“He failed to break Republika Srpska, so now from afar he attacks what defeated him, because nothing hurts the man who played the cowboy more than defeat – namely, a strong Republika Srpska that, despite all trials, has survived and continues the policies chosen by its people for more than 20 years, a commitment that continues today, which was confirmed in the recent imposed elections. Support for SNSD’s policy in October 2026 will be even stronger, to the regret of the retired diplomat and his associates in the form of Schmidt and the ‘troikas’ from Sarajevo and Banja Luka,” concluded SNSD leader Milorad Dodik.
