BANJA LUKA, MAY 20 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik said that the statement by SDS leader Branko Blanuša on so-called state property is proof that he is there to betray Republika Srpska, which the ruling coalition in Srpska will not allow.

He said that a law on property will never be adopted in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, stressing that the issue of property was resolved in the Dayton Peace Agreement, which clearly states that everything not explicitly assigned to BiH belongs to the entities.

“Nowhere is it written that property belongs to BiH, and accepting that BiH institutions adopt such a law, as Blanuša proposes, would be equivalent to betrayal of Serbian national and historical interests,” Dodik said at a press conference after a meeting of the ruling coalition in Republika Srpska.

Dodik said that, unlike Blanuša, the ruling coalition does not want to sell Republika Srpska’s property and will fight to ensure that people like Blanuša do not come to power.

He added that opposition parties from Srpska are transferring competencies, stressing that the upcoming period will be marked by a struggle between political Banja Luka and political Sarajevo.

“Political Sarajevo is represented by Bosniak-Muslim politicians, part of the international community such as the British and Germans, and the opposition from Republika Srpska,” said Dodik.

On the other hand, Dodik said, political Banja Luka consists of the ruling coalition, veterans, pensioners, and all other citizens.

“If political Sarajevo, meaning the opposition in Srpska, wins, then what they are announcing will happen. That is why the ruling coalition must secure a two-thirds majority in the upcoming elections, to ensure freedom for the Serb people, adopt a new constitution, and secure a new position for Republika Srpska,” Dodik emphasized.
