SREBRENICA, NOVEMBER 14 /SRNA/ – There is almost no place in Republika Srpska where investments are not being taken place, said SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik in Potočari, Srebrenica, where he attended the opening of a new production facility of export-oriented EkoBox Kontejneri company.
Dodik emphasized that this company is a giant producing 2,500 residential and construction containers annually, most of which are exported.
He stated that it is a wonderful opportunity to witness continued success, noting how difficult it was to make the business decision to launch this project.
"The most modern equipment from China has been purchased, which will improve quality and speed up production. I can only congratulate the owners, the workers, and the municipality," Dodik said.
He pointed out that he can see good coordination in Srebrenica between the local administration and the business community.
The Minister of Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of Republika Srpska, Siniša Karan, who attended the ceremonial opening of the new EkoBox Kontejneri production plant, said that the essence of education lies in its connection with science.
"We founded the Science - Technology Park where we want to connect ideas and education. We must have all types of educational profiles that can keep up with this kind of progress; the result is overall advancement of society and all our local communities. This is how we will keep young people and families here," Karan said.
The Mayor of Srebrenica, Miloš Vučić, stated that this year has been marked by austerity measures, but they nevertheless managed to open new jobs together with local businesses.
"We hope that 2026 will also be a year of development, and for now everything is going according to plan. We expect more significant progress next year," Vučić added.
The owner of EkoBoks Kontejneri, Bojan Rankić, thanked Dodik and Karan for their visit, adding that they have opened a new production plant today employing an additional 30 workers.
"Together with the local community, we managed to expand the production facility and hire new workers," Rankić said.
He recalled that the company opened its first facility eight years ago and has since invested almost five million Euros in buildings and machinery.
The company "Ekoboks Kontejneri" produces residential and construction containers that are exported, including to EU member states.
