DEĐANSKI: CVIJANOVIĆ'S NUMEROUS MEETINGS IN USA PROVE REPUBLIKA SRPSKA'S GROWING CREDIBILITY

BELGRADE, FEBRUARY 4 /SRNA/ – Political analyst Stevica Deđanski assessed that the numerous meetings held by the Serb BiH Presidency member Željka Cvijanović with US officials in Washington prove that Republika Srpska's credibility is gaining increasing importance.

Deđanski emphasized that this is proof that there are influential countries and politicians who understand that Republika Srpska is pursuing a policy of reconciliation in the region, which confirms that everything coming from the administration of former US President Joseph Biden was a fabrication that primarily destabilized BiH itself.

"It is obvious that Republika Srpska now enjoys a high level of understanding for its struggle to ensure the functioning of the Dayton Peace Agreement, which is the only thing it advocates, knowing that there can be no final reconciliation without respect for Republika Srpska, which means respect for the Dayton," Deđanski told SRNA.

He stressed that Republika Srpska previously did not enjoy this understanding, primarily in the United States, which shows that the activities of its leadership have produced results.

Deđanski believes that other diplomatic activities preceding the visit of Cvijanović, Republika Srpska Acting President Ana Trišić-Babić and SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik to the United States, should not be overlooked.

"Their activities in the U.S. should be viewed in the context of all diplomatic-level meetings that have taken place over the past six months. This includes Dodik's meetings with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, as well as a visit to Israel and meetings with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and in the Knesset," Deđanski emphasized.

He has explained that the activities in the United States are the culmination of a months-long diplomatic offensive aimed at strengthening Republika Srpska and its position in the international arena.

"This is the path that Republika Srpska, Serbs, and the Serb people should follow in order to break the myths imposed by Sarajevo, Zagreb, and others in the region, who built their politics on Serbs' misfortune," Deđanski said.

He believes that the increasingly intensive contacts of Republika Srpska officials with representatives of the United States and other countries confirm that Srpska and the Serbs have somehow managed to break out of that framework.

"If we combine this with international meetings and visits by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and his participation in important gatherings, from Davos to Abu Dhabi, it shows that the Serbs are on the offensive, seeking nothing that is abnormal or impossible, but simply demonstrating their desire for peace in the region," Deđanski stated.

He stressed that the Serbs have developed only in periods without conflict therefore advocating peace.

"Unfortunately, politicians in countries of the region, especially in Sarajevo, build their political success on stirring unrest and demonizing the Serb people. But clearly, that no longer works," Deđanski concluded.
