CVIJANOVIĆ: AUTHORITIES ARE RESPONSIBLY FIGHTING FOR SRPSKA'S INTERESTS IN INTERNATIONAL ARENA

PRNJAVOR, MAY 27 /SRNA/ – Serb BiH Presidency member Željka Cvijanović emphasized that Republika Srpska officials form a strong and well-coordinated team that is responsibly fighting for the interests of Republika Srpska in the international arena, with those interests being the top priority.

Cvijanović noted that the presence of Republika Srpska representatives at international events is very important, such as the participation of the delegation including Interior Minister Željko Budimir and SNSD leader Milorad Dodik at the International Security Forum in Moscow.

She recalled that Republika Srpska had long been placed in a position of having to defend itself without being given the opportunity to express its views or explain what it sees as the problems in BiH.

"Now those circumstances have changed significantly, and it is important that President Dodik is there and will be able to state and present Republika Srpska's opinions and positions on various issues," Cvijanović told the press in Prnjavor.

Cvijanović stressed the importance of maintaining continuity in cooperation between Republika Srpska and Russia, as well as maintaining contacts with all those willing to build good and friendly relations with Republika Srpska, whom are more today than ever before.

"We intend to participate in various international meetings and forums and to present our policies. We are active. We do nothing to the detriment of others, but we do everything in the interest of Republika Srpska," Cvijanović emphasized.

She pointed out that the leadership of Republika Srpska recognized the wind of change in a timely manner and was prepared for them - working, planning, and creating solutions in the interest of Republika Srpska.

"Ultimately, we have already demonstrated this and will continue presenting Republika Srpska's positions abroad. This is the fight for Republika Srpska, and everyone knows that the Republic is our priority," Cvijanović stated.
