BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 18 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić said that Republika Srpska is solvent, credible and not over-indebted, as demonstrated by the implementation of the property valuation project, for which a subsidiary agreement on additional financing was signed today.
Minić stressed that the implementation of this type of project with international credit institutions, in this case the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, is further confirmation that Republika Srpska has a future and is strengthening its institutional capacity.
"By implementing this project, together with the public display project as the strongest basis for registering property in the land registry, we will have all the necessary prerequisites for Republika Srpska to manage its real estate records, know the area, shape, purpose and value of each plot and building within its territory," Minić told reporters in Banja Luka after the agreement was signed.
The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska stressed that this is also a prerequisite for creating a social registry for Republika Srpska, as well as a central archive.
"By using these funds and engaging up to 1,000 predominantly young people who will work on institutionalizing the Republika Srpska system, we are showing that we are moving in the direction we have announced. This is a major development because Republika Srpska will have accurate records of its real estate and its value, and Srpska is the owner of this data," Minić said.
He said that by increasing Republika Srpska's institutional capacity, Srpska is further strengthening itself.
The subsidiary agreement for the Improvement of Geospatial Infrastructure and Real Estate Valuation – Additional Financing Project, with a total value of €35.2 million, or BAM 68.8 million, for Republika Srpska, was signed by Minister of Finance and Treasury in the Council of Ministers Srđan Amidžić and Republika Srpska Finance Minister Zora Vidović.
