BUBIĆ: WE WOULD LIKE TO IMPROVE DEFENCE INDUSTRY OPERATION

BANJA LUKA, MAY 29 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship Radenko Bubić has stated today in Banja Luka that the memorandum of understanding he signed with representatives of U.S. companies concerns cooperation in the field of the defence industry.

"We want to improve the operation of our defence industry. The memorandum also relates to the education and training of personnel, as well as the possible procurement of equipment needed for this industrial sector," Bubić told the press after the signing of the memorandum.

Ranko Ristić, owner of the Redstar Ordnance Company, expressed satisfaction at being able to offer top-quality products from the United States.

"These include helicopters and night-vision optics used by the police and military. We can also supply machinery for ammunition production. We hope to finalize the contracts soon," Ristić said.
