BANJA LUKA, APRIL 3 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship Radenko Bubić said that awards for economic achievements serve as a motivation for continued successful business operations.

“Being successful is one thing, but achieving strong results, as domestic companies have done in the environment of a global crisis, is another,” Bubić told reporters in Banja Luka, where the "Selection of the Most Successful in the Economy of Republika Srpska" was held, organized by the Chamber of Commerce, and attended by Republika Srpska President Siniša Karan.

The President of the Republika Srpska Chamber of Commerce Goran Račić said that the economy of Srpska has managed to maintain competitiveness and continuity despite difficult conditions on the international market.

“The economy of Srpska is export-oriented, with 80 percent of products exported to the EU market, while trade with countries in the region accounts for 15 to 20 percent. In conditions where we manage to be partners of the most renowned multinational companies, we certainly deserve respect,” Račić stated.

He emphasized that family-owned businesses dominate in Republika Srpska and that it is very important for Srpska to preserve them.

Aleksandar Milić from the company "Stanari Power Plant" said that without strong economy, there can be no strong Republika Srpska.

"Stanari Power Plant" was named the most successful large company in Republika Srpska over the past year at the 22nd "Selection of the Most Successful in the Economy" event.

Member of the management board of "Elnos Group" Biljana Krunić said that the company, which operates in 18 European countries, received recognition for corporate social responsibility and for results achieved in the large companies category, which is highly motivating for further business development.

“Our work shows that a domestic company, through knowledge, dedication, and a clear strategy, can compete in a very demanding international market,” Krunić said.

The event at the Banski Dvor Cultural Center was attended by representatives of the National Assembly and the Government of Republika Srpska, as well as other public and social figures.
