BUBIĆ: MORE THAN BAM 16 MILLION PAID OUT IN INCENTIVES LAST YEAR

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 5 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship Radenko Bubić told SRNA that in 2025 the Ministry supported 159 business entities whose investments and expenditures totaled BAM 51.26 million, while BAM 16,269,289 had been paid out for these purposes as of October 31.

Bubić stated that the investments were aimed at improving the technological level of companies, primarily through the purchase of new or used equipment up to five years old.

The investments also included the transition to a green and circular economy through the purchase of machinery and equipment for recycling, up to five years old, filters, wastewater treatment systems, and other equipment designed to reduce pollution, as well as the acquisition of new solar panels for own needs.

"The largest number of incentive beneficiaries last year operated in the metal and electrical industry sector /39 percent/, followed by the wood-processing industry /25 percent/, the rubber and plastics industry /11 percent/, and the textile, clothing, and footwear industry /10 percent/," Bubić said.

He emphasized that the largest amount of incentives in 2025 was approved for those operating in the metal and electrical industry sector- BAM 6,085,050 or 37 percent of the total. The wood-processing industry received BAM 4,432,851 or 27 percent, while the rubber and plastics industry received BAM 1,608,605, i.e. 10 percent.

Bubić noted that the value of investments made by business entities in 2025 ranged from approximately BAM 51,000 to BAM 3.5 million.

"The largest individual investment involved the purchase of equipment for the metal industry, specifically a combined machine, a laser-cutting machine, and two CNC presses," Bubić said.

He added that incentives also supported investments in the acquisition of a production line for extruding three-layer smooth and corrugated pipes, a production line for manufacturing PET preforms with tooling, as well as a CNC wood lathe and a line for longitudinal cutting of boards with an inclined conveyor system.

Bubić stated that an analysis of the basic financial performance data of the 159 business entities is currently underway and added that the Ministry will prepare a detailed report on the use and effects of the incentives granted for investments in 2025.
