BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 4 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship Radenko Bubić has said today that the ministry is providing incentives to companies transitioning to a green and circular economy, noting that BAM 5.9 million has been allocated for this purpose this year.

"In 2026, 56 business entities received incentives. Companies investing in the transition to a green and circular economy can apply for incentives for investments in equipment and machinery, which help them generate less waste and thereby reduce environmental pollution," Bubić told the press in Banja Luka, where he attended a presentation of the work and results of the Green Transition Centre within the Republika Srpska Chamber of Commerce.

Bubić noted that the Republika Srpska Government recognised the importance of the transition to a green and circular economy in 2020 and identified it as one of the main priorities for Srpska's economic development.

Speaking about the continuation of Srpska economic incentive policy, Bubić announced that some types of incentives would be discontinued, but that the total amount of funds allocated for business incentives would be significantly increased.

President of the Republika Srpska Chamber of Commerce Goran Račić said that the establishment of the Centre enabled local businesses to obtain the information they needed to make the transition and adapt to EU requirements.

Račić emphasized that a number of projects and international consultants were already available to support local businesses, providing them with certain benefits in terms of training, obtaining new certificates, and grants for technical and IT solutions.

The Republika Srpska Chamber of Commerce established the Green Transition Centre to provide business entities with institutional and professional support in adapting to the requirements of sustainable business practices and the European market.
