KOS: KEY EU-RELATED REFORMS NEED TO BE ADOPTED

BRUSSELS, NOVEMBER 4 /SRNA/ – Engagement on BiH's path towards EU membership is declining, while key reforms related to the Union have yet to be adopted, European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos said.

"The work of the executive and legislative authorities continues to be hampered by the lack of a functional ruling coalition, political positions, divisive rhetoric and anti-EU narratives ahead of the general elections," Kos said while presenting the report on the progress of countries towards EU membership.

She added that "following the general elections on October 4, BiH needs to demonstrate its commitment by swiftly taking steps towards EU accession".
