BANJA LUKA, JULY 3 /SRNA/ – Audio-Visual Center of Republika Srpska Director Anja Ilić today signed agreements in Banja Luka to co-finance the production of three feature films, with a total of BAM 1.4 million allocated for the projects.
Republika Srpska Minister of Education and Culture Borivoje Golubović said the entity has significant potential among domestic filmmakers and that such support is important to increase the visibility of local film production both at home and internationally.
He added that the co-financing of three feature films demonstrates that a sustainable support system for filmmaking has been established, marking an important step forward for the domestic film industry.
Ilić said the selected projects are the feature films Horde by Marko Šipka, You Don't Eat Your Own Flesh by Jelena Medić and Dividi by Stefan Tomić.
"These films explore important themes, and we are eagerly looking forward to seeing them brought to the screen. The Center will continue to support these young filmmakers throughout this important journey," Ilić said.
Tomić said Dividi is his debut feature film and described the support from the Audio-Visual Center as highly significant.
"This is a major encouragement for young filmmakers like us who, after completing our studies, are looking for opportunities to establish ourselves and present our ideas," Tomić said.
He explained that Dividi is a drama about parents' great devotion to their children and the challenges they face in the process.
