AMIDŽIĆ: OUR DUTY IS TO REMEMBER, AND OUR OBLIGATION IS TO SPEAK

DONJA GRADINA, APRIL 19 /SRNA/ - The Minister of Finance and Treasury in the Council of Ministers, Srđan Amidžić, said that Donja Gradina is a place that is not only part of history, but a wound that continues to serve as a warning today.

Amidžić posted on social media that Jasenovac is not the past; it is a vow, a cry that must not fall silent.

"Nearly one million extinguished lives. Twenty thousand children who were not given the chance to grow up, to dream, to live. Our duty is to remember. Our obligation is to speak. Our responsibility is to nurture a culture of remembrance - loudly, with dignity, and forever," said Amidžić, who today attended the commemoration of the Day of Remembrance for the victims of the Ustasha genocide in the Jasenovac concentration camp and its largest execution site, Donja Gradina in the NDH /Independent State of Croatia.
