BELGRADE, NOVEMBER 5 /SRNA/ - The Ambassador of BiH to Serbia, Aleksandar Vranješ, said that nothing will remain of BiH if there is not a prompt attempt at dialogue among the political representatives of the three constituent peoples, which could establish some form of internal consensus.

"This is the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Agreement, and BiH in this state will not even reach its 35th", Vranješ told reporters ahead of a gathering at the Russian House in Belgrade on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Agreement.

He stated that the Serbs have never truly felt BiH as their own state, and that BiH is a product of the peace agreement, a construct that had to be created as a state community to stop the war.

"Serbs in Republika Srpska feel exclusively that Republika Srpska is their state and Serbia is their motherland. For thirty years, we have said that BiH is something that is given, in which we can remain only if there is equality and an internal agreement based on the Dayton Agreement", Vranješ emphasized.

Vranješ said that during this entire period, the West has been destroying it, and that Serbs have never had the opportunity to experience BiH as something of their own.

"This is a compulsion in which we live, and, by all indications, if we interpret the Constitutional Court of BiH, this compulsion is coming to an end", Vranješ added.

He stated that the situation will stabilize only if the Dayton Agreement is implemented according to the principles of the three constituent peoples, with their political representatives reaching agreements on the future without foreign interference.

"We can see that this has not been possible so far, and whether it will be possible remains to be seen, but I am not very optimistic", Vranješ said.

Commenting on the rejection of the appeal by President Milorad Dodik’s legal team, Vranješ said that the Constitutional Court has merely shown that it is a political court serving a protectorate, a colonial administration, and that it does not understand what the Constitution of BiH is.

"They do not even understand the role of the Constitutional Court, which is supposed to harmonize and comment on whether something is in accordance with the Constitution or not", Vranješ stated.

He added that the case against Dodik was fabricated and that one only needs to look at the constitutional basis on which anyone could rely regarding an extra-parliamentary criminal offense imposed by a German “tourist” in BiH, under which Dodik was tried.

"This is a politicized court serving a protectorate and a colonial administration", Vranješ emphasized.

Vranješ said that for 30 years, the international factor in BiH has been experimenting by trying, outside institutional frameworks and beyond the Dayton Agreement, to create a unitary, central state at the expense of Serb interests, Republika Srpska, and the constituent peoples.

"We have been fighting against this for 30 years. We have now reached a point where the question arises - on what basis can one continue to function within BiH under such conditions?", Vranješ emphasized.
