BELGRADE, OCTOBER 19 /SRNA/ - Telekom Srbija CEO Vladimir Lučić said he was still banned from entering Kosovo and Metohija and had initiated legal proceedings over the unlawful decision issued by the provisional authorities in Priština in August.
Lučić stressed that Priština was discriminating against Telekom Srbija solely because it was a Serbian company and against him because he was a Serb.
"The decision is completely unlawful for eight legal reasons, but they made such decisions assuming that no one would appeal. I appealed, and, interestingly, there is an institution to which I had to submit my appeal within around 30 days. To be on the safe side, I also initiated court proceedings," Lučić told K1 television.
He said, however, that the institution to which he was entitled to appeal had declared itself not competent to handle the case.
"They are obviously avoiding the case because it is clear that the so-called interior minister issued the decision unlawfully, so it seems to me that we will be dragged through the courts for six to 12 months," Lučić said.
He said it was entirely clear that Priština did not want any Serbian company operating in Kosovo and Metohija and was manipulating its own laws in an attempt to make it more difficult for Telekom Srbija to do business.
