SPANIARD ARRESTED ON SUSPICION OF ABDUCTING HIS DAUGHTER

PRIŠTINA, JUNE 27 /SRNA/ – A Spanish national has been arrested in Kosovo on suspicion of abducting his six-year-old daughter, who was found in good health and placed under the care of the competent authorities.

The man was arrested by the Kosovo police on Wednesday, June 24, and has been remanded in custody pending the start of judicial proceedings.

Spanish authorities had been searching for the man, who disappeared with his daughter, for nearly two weeks.

According to the investigation, he concealed the girl in luggage in order to leave Mallorca and then entered Serbia's southern province with her, Priština media reported.

The investigation established that the suspect had closed his bank accounts, deleted his social media profiles and gradually altered his physical appearance.

Following a joint investigation conducted with police services from several European countries, authorities determined that the suspect and the girl were in Kosovo and Metohija.
