SERBIA CANNOT STAY SILENT TO MAHMUTOVIĆ'S THREATS TO SERBS AND SRPSKA

BELGRADE, APRIL 4 /SRNA/ - The statement of the SDA delegate to the Council of Peoples of Republika Srpska, Dževad Mahmutović, who calls for an armed conflict in BiH is worrisome, not only for the citizens of that country, but for the entire region, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs assessed.

The Ministry appealed to the political actors in BiH, above all the most extreme political representatives of the Bosniak people, to contribute to the renewal of the political dialogue between the entities and the constituent peoples.

"Everything else is adding fuel to the fire and contributing not only to political, but also dangerous security escalation," said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia.

Reacting to Mahmutović's messages, the Ministry emphasized that Serbia cannot stay silent and indifferent when someone openly threatens violence against the Serb people and the legal and legitimate institutions of Republika Srpska.

They pointed out that Serbia, not wanting to interfere in the internal political relations of other countries, as a neighbor and guarantor of the survival of Republika Srpska, that is, the Dayton architecture of BiH, is justified in expressing concern about the increasingly militant messages of certain Bosniak political representatives.

Mahmutović said in a guest appearance on the television of a federal media that, if the MOI of Republika Srpska tried to prevent the arrest of the president of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, they would have to shoot.
