The previous license for negotiations between MOL and Gazprom Neft was valid until October 30.
OFAC has also extended NIS's operating license, allowing it to continue operations, including crude oil refining, until December 11.
The previous operating license for NIS was valid until yesterday, as was the OFAC license authorizing the Croatian oil pipeline operator JANAF to transport crude oil to NIS.
The U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control imposed sanctions on the Oil Industry of Serbia on October 9, 2025, due to the company's majority Russian ownership.
