BELGRADE, OCTOBER 23 /SRNA/ – Serbian Prime Minister Đuro Macut said today that a new rail service between Belgrade and Budapest would be launched by the New Year.
Macut, who attended a ceremony in Budapest today marking the 70th anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution, said he would speak with Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar this evening about, among other things, the launch of the new rail service.
"This will be the first opportunity to tell Hungary's new prime minister that we are always there and that we should continue along the paths already established. These are our bilateral relations and everything that connects our peoples," Macut told Serbian media.
He said relations between the two countries had traditionally been good in recent years, adding that Hungary would help Serbia on its path toward European Union membership.
"Mutual cooperation, understanding and building bridges between our peoples can lead to a better future and prosperity for the benefit of both sides," Macut said.
