BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 14 /SRNA/ – Chair of the Association of Serbs from the Region Miodrag Linta has assessed that calls for a boycott of products from Serbia and Republika Srpska, advocated by certain Sarajevo-based politicians, represent a tool for deepening national and political divisions and creating an atmosphere of intolerance.

Linta believes that the call is a continuation of anti-Serb policies and the constant escalation of tensions.

"Instead of building normal relations, developing economic cooperation and resolving outstanding issues through dialogue, Sarajevo is once again sending messages portraying Serbia and Republika Srpska as enemies, and Serbian products as something to be avoided," Linta said in a public statement.

According to him, calling on FBiH citizens to boycott products from Serbia and Republika Srpska means further building walls between the people.

"Serbs and Bosniaks can and must live in peace, which requires Sarajevo to stop pursuing a policy that constantly portrays Serbia and Republika Srpska as a threat," Linta pointed out.

He added that there are issues on which Serbs and Bosniaks will never agree, which must be accepted as a reality, but must not be a reason for hatred, divisions or conflict.
